Everyone has a story.......
Kensal Rise's Zute Lightfoot has made the following beautiful video of Ellie Southwood and Sophie Barnard's training for Blenheim Palace Triathlon with Kensal Tri.......

In this, Ellie - who is blind and doing her first Triathlon - talks about the challenge and how cycling and swimming in particular will be difficult.

Her guide, Sophie, is also doing her first swims tethered to someone and this has also been her first time on a tandem bike.

Sophie also talks about her apprehensions at first - she is not a trained Tri coach - but the many joys of being a Guide and making this sort of adventure possible for others.

They are part of a team of 154 Kensal Rise neighbours taking part at Blenheim and, as Ellie summarises, "everyone has their own story".

The goal of Kensal Tri is to bring as many people together as possible across the communit.
The free & discounted local exercise - and entry into sporty events - continues throughout the year.
